Build from a curriculum-aligned question bank, generate a fresh version of any question in seconds, give every student their own form, and see results the moment they submit. Simple enough that a teacher needs no training.
No credit card. Sample curriculum included. Works on desktop and phone.
Any test that ships to thousands of classrooms eventually appears online, complete with its answer key. When every student in a section sees the same questions in the same order, a single leaked copy undermines the whole assessment. Flourishing Exams addresses this structurally rather than by policing: each assessment can draw on multiple verified versions of every question, each student receives a distinct form, and a fresh version is one click away when a teacher suspects exposure. The result is assessment that measures understanding — because recognizing a question is no longer enough.
Browse curriculum-aligned questions by course, chapter, lesson, and objective. Add one, add ten, drag to reorder. A chapter test in minutes.
Pick any question and ask for a Similar, Modified, or entirely New version — same objective, same difficulty, different enough that a copied answer key is useless.
Give it to a class online with a time limit, or print Form A and Form B with keys. Every student online receives their own version.
Objective questions are graded the moment a student submits. Essays wait for you. Class results, per-question difficulty, and a note if a student left the page.
Split-screen builder: the bank on the left, your test on the right. Search, filter, multi-select, drag and drop.
Three levels of change per question, up to three saved versions, originals always preserved. Compare before you commit.
Question order, answer order, and question versions rotate per student. Form codes keep every paper matched to its key.
Multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, and matching graded on submit; short answers that miss the key are routed to you, never marked wrong.
Tell it what grades and subjects you teach once. Your courses, question banks, and recent work are one click from the dashboard.
A clean student copy with name, date, and score lines, and a matching key — from the same screen.
Need more on a chapter? Draft a set aligned to its objectives, edit anything, keep what you like.
Students take tests on whatever they have. Teachers grade from the hallway.
Flourishing Exams is built on the standards schools already use: OneRoster for rostering from your student information system, LTI 1.3 Advantage for single sign-on, assignment placement, and grade passback from your LMS, and simple CSV import for schools without either. Teachers never touch a setting — their classes and students appear, and results flow back.
Connectors roll out with partner schools; the integration framework ships today.
New question versions and chapter drafts are written by Claude, Anthropic's AI, working only from the curriculum context you provide — chapter objectives, and in production the publisher's own text. Every generated question carries a confidence score, a teacher-only note explaining what changed, and a review flag when the model is unsure. Teachers approve everything; nothing reaches a student that a teacher hasn't seen.
Publisher questions are never modified. Versions and teacher edits are stored as linked, clearly labeled records with full provenance — who made them, from what, and when. Content is licensed per school, mapped to your own course, textbook, edition, chapter, lesson, and objective structure, and can be reviewed and approved before it reaches a classroom.
Generate New Version creates a new record; the source question is untouched.
Original → Version A → teacher-edited copy, with source references for audit.

School entitlements and edition management designed in from the start.
The sandbox includes sample curriculum across five subjects. Build a test, generate a version, assign it to yourself, take it on your phone, and watch the grade land on your dashboard — in about fifteen minutes.
